The last few months have seen brother and sister duo Angus and Julia Stone go from strength to strength. With a #1 Gold album (fast approaching platinum) and a national SOLD OUT tour under their belts the pair have since been touring the UK, Europe, US and Canada, gathering further accolades. ‘Down the Way came in at #19 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart in the USA, #40 in France and have just completed their sold out UK dates, with the times saying about the pairs shepherds bush empire show - riumphant. Angus & Julia go on to tour Europe then a headline spot at UKs biggest Music Convention/Festival - The Great Escape.
Angus & Julia Stone return home in July to play the Splendour in The Grass festival, which will be followed by their biggest Australian tour to date through August/September. The tour will commence in far North Queensland and take in all capitol cities before concluding in Brisbane at the end of September.
Tickets are on sale Friday, May 7 along with the new single Big Jet Plane, which is receiving across the board airplay from the national nova network who will be presenting this tour. The big Jet plane single includes 3 previously unreleased b-sides; the Julia track Living On A Rainbow along with a cover of Youre The One That I Want and Angus stripped back My Malakai. Fans will be able to purchase their show tickets and the single package simultaneously at a discounted price.

Angus and Julia Stones sophomore album Down The Way is the highest selling Australian Artist album for 2010. The album debuted No. 1 upon release in March, holding for 2 consecutive weeks and has maintained a position at the top of the charts, this week moving back inside the top 10 and notching up sales of over 70,000 copies in the last two months, certifying it platinum.
The siblings return home next month from playing sell out shows across the UK and USA to headline the Go Between Bridge concert in Brisbane. They then jet back to Europe to play festivals in Belgium, Holland and France and Latitude and Cornbury Festivals in the UK.
Returning home to Australia again in July to play the On The Bright Side Festival in Perth followed by Splendour In the Grass and then into their headline national tour commencing in August and running through September. Tickets are selling fast with additional shows being added in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to cope with the high demand!
