Allan Browne
One of Australias most treasured drummers, Browne has been awarded five grants by the Australia Council, his discography totals over 70 LPs or CDs, including The Red Onions "Big Band Memories", "Creole Rhapsody" and "Crisis". The Paul Grabowsky Trios "Six by Three" (Aria best jazz album 1990 and many more. As well as writing film scores Allan has lectured in jazz history and appreciation at the VCA and highly active on the Australian jazz scene. Allan will conduct and perform an historical workshop and concert on jazz drumming with local musicians Bruce Hancock piano and John Aue bass.
